Hello! My name is Kristin Reed. I am a LMT, E-RYT 500, AADP certified Holistic Health Coach, and I am passionate about movement. Whether you are a serious athlete, a casual walker, or someone trying to keep up with the grandkids, movement is an essential part of our human experience. It keeps us healthy and happy, and without it, our quality of life can begin to decrease quite rapidly. My goal as a therapist is to help you find freedom in your body and reduce pain so that you can move in whatever way fulfills you most.
My love of movement stems from a background of competitive gymnastics and modern dance. Injuries, an eating disorder and a diagnosis of PCOS and adrenal exhaustion left me sick, tired, and unable to do what I loved and live the life I wanted to live. Seeking wellness, I began down a path of study in mindfulness, yoga, holistic nutrition, massage and herbal medicine, and the impact on my quality life astounded me. I have since never looked back! I have studied at many schools and with many teachers including The Cooper Institute, Sunstone Yoga Academy, Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Northwest Academy for the Healing Arts, The Vedic Conservatory and most currently The Naga Center, where I am part of an ongoing apprenticeship in Thai Massage and herbal medicine. I believe in a holistic approach to wellness and pain-free living, and I combine modalities when needed to help clients find freedom in their bodies and reach their personal goals.
Having experienced numerous setbacks in my own health, I understand how frustrating it can be to come up against limitations that keep you from moving freely and living your happiest life. The two are intrinsically tied together. I have seen lives change through yoga and massage, and I am so grateful that I am here to assist others in finding their own health and happiness. So whatever roadblocks you have hit, let's work together to move you towards wellness!
